Meet me in the Green Glen

This is a unique ensemble of Mezzo Soprano, Bassoon, and Piano. The three have been paired together for a piece that is loosely a rondo form, based on the poem by John Clare. This combination of instruments make a rich registral timbre that fills the warmth of the text.

Field Notes

This is a commissioned multi movement work that was premiered at the New England Conservatory in 2018. It is scored for Viola, Trombone, Tuba, and Piano (sometimes prepared). Each movement is inspired by test written by my father, Michael Boswell. This piece was commissioned by the Tubist - Conrad Shaw, who is joined in performance by Violist Laura Williamson, Trombonist Michael Cox, and myself on Piano.  *If you would like to hear the piece in its entirety, please contact me and I will assist you in this*

On the walk home

This score is for two pianos and a solo violin. Performed by violinist Chloe Smith (who currently pursues her masters at Yale), pianist Dr. Kathryn Fouse, and myself on the 2nd piano. This piece was inspired by the daily evening walks, that I took during college, from the music building back to my home. This piece is in a rather palindromic form, and you can hear the footsteps at the start and end of the work - with the development representing all the ideas that flowed on the walk.
